Nobel Laureates in 1965

In 1965 there were overall 10 nobel laureates and they all deserve our acknowledgment for their hard work and their overall support for our world. Nobel Prize was founded in 1901 by the inventor of dynamite, the Nobel Prize is the world's most celebrated and controversial honor. It grants its winners instant celebrity and acclaim for "service to mankind," despite accusations that it is too trendy, arbitrary, and narrow-minded. It is of course the famous international award given yearly since 1901 for achievements in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature and peace. The prize consists of a medal, a personal diploma, and a prize amount! In 1965 there were awarded these great people:

for chemistry:
ROBERT BURNS WOODWARD for his outstanding achievements in the art of organic synthesis.

for literature:
MICHAIL ALEKSANDROVICH SHOLOKHOV for the artistic power and integrity with which, in his epic of the Don, he has given expression to a historic phase in the life of the Russian people.

for medicine:
FRANÇOIS JACOB , ANDRÉ LWOFF and JACOUES MONOD for their discoveries concerning genetic control of enzyme and virus synthesis

for peace:
UNITED NATIONS CHILDREN'S FUND (UNICEF) New York, founded by U.N. in 1946. An international aid organization.

for physics:
SIN-ITIRO TOMONAGA, JULIAN SCHWINGER and RICHARD P. FEYNMAN for their fundamental work in quantum electrodynamics, with deep-ploughing consequences for the physics of elementary particles.
